Gov.UK Guidance: How to help safely - 26th March

The Govt has stated that people should only leave the house for one of four reasons, and one of these is to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.

THIS USEFUL GUIDANCE outlines how to help safely - including sections on who can I help, what can I do, links if you are worried about someones health, how to stay safe when accepting help from others and details of the great NHS Volunteer responders.

In a seprate document, the government recognise that a national effort is required to tackle the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and understand that people want to help others who are already ill or at particular risk. They go on to say that they wholeheartedly welcome such efforts and want to assist volunteers and the people receiving support in ensuring that help is provided safely. You can read the Safeguarding Factsheet: Community Volunteers during COVID-19 outbreak HERE.

Separate advice is available for individuals or households who are isolating, and for the most vulnerable who need to be shielded.
