Become a Voter Registration Champion!
Ahead of the UK General Election taking place on 4th July, we are calling everyone aged 18+ to register to vote before the 18th June.
It's crucial that we hear the voices of everyone, particularly those from traditionally underrepresented groups. This includes young people and individuals from racially and economically marginalized communities.
Transformation Cornwall is supporting Citizens UK initiative and calling organisations across Cornwall to become a Voter Registration Champion (VRC) and to help raise awareness and invite people in their networks to register to vote.
What does Voter Registration Champion (VRC) do?
Voter Registration Champion supports organisations help their members/employees get election-ready in a non-partisan way. We know that many organisations are keen to be actively involved in the democratic process, but might lack confidence in how to do so safely.
Voter Registration Champions will:
- Register people to vote
- Educate people about voter ID
- Encourage people to exercise their right to vote
How to become a VRC?
It’s quick and easy to become a VRC Champion – here’s a direct link to an Expression of Interest (EOI) form:

Once your EOI has been received, your organisation will receive a VRC badge and a Communications Pack for posters and social media.

Citizens UK are running two information sessions to learn more about the initiative, meet their team and find out how you can sign up to become a Voter Registration Champion!

About Citizens UK
The Voter Registration Champion scheme is an initiative of Citizens UK and is supported by the UK Democracy Fund. By combining their community organising expertise with their experience of creating the Living Wage accreditation scheme, they aim to mobilise a movement of civil society organisations, community groups and employers to make sure 300,000 at-risk voters can exercise their right to vote at the next General Election.
