The rising energy costs in the UK have significantly impacted households, particularly those on lower incomes. Many families are struggling to afford their energy bills, leading to increased fuel poverty and difficult choices between heating and other essential expenses
This free online training aims to equip frontline workers across Cornwall with the knowledge to provide some basic energy-saving advice to individuals.
During this session, you will gain a better understanding of:
- Emergency fuel vouchers & grants to help with energy bills, heating upgrades and insulation
- Simple behavioural changes that can help to reduce bills, including energy efficiency tips, tariff switching and smart meters.
- Damp and mould, and priority service registers.
- How to make referrals to Community Energy Plus for advice & support.
This session is run in collaboration with Cornwall's energy advice charity Community Energy Plus.
