Guarantee our Essentials: Resources for Summer 2024

We continue to support The Trussell Trust Guarantee our Essentials campaign.

As we move towards the next steps of the campaign, the Trussell Trust has launched their summer activity called ‘Laying it all out on the table’. As part of their ever-growing campaign, they are inviting as many organisations and local networks as possible to join them this summer and gather stories from people from your community.

They are asking you,  your team, and people from across your community to write down on tablecloths the stats and stories that lay out the devastating consequences of hardship in your community. The objective is to collate all the messages on the tablecloths and create a collective story of why it’s so important for party leaders to ensure that universal credit covers the cost of essentials, as part of the Guarantee our Essentials campaign.

To enable this the Trussell Trust can provide you with the resources and support to organise events to engage your community throughout the summer to get as many messages on the tablecloths as possible.
