Household Support Fund- Summary (Round 6 October 2024- March 2025)
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded Cornwall Council a further £4.5 million through the Household Support Fund (HSF) to support those most in need to help with significantly rising living costs. This funding covers the period 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Direct payment to low-income household
Some of the funding will be used to provide one-off cash payments to low-income households with and without children, to support those most in need with the cost of food, energy (heating, cooking, lighting), water bills and other essentials. Payments will be made automatically to eligible households by the end of November 2024 without the need to apply.
Support available to local organiations
The successful delivery of previous HSF rounds 1 – 5, has shown that a mixed method approach which allocates funding to existing Council services and external organisations ensures families, children, and adults at risk of, or experiencing financial hardship can access the funding and achieve the objectives of the HSF. Below you will find a summary document listing the local providers of the funding and their contact details.
