Household Support Fund- Summary (Round 7 April 2025- March 2026)
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded Cornwall Council a further £7.9 million through the Household Support Fund (HSF) to support those most in need to help with significantly rising living costs. The fund will run from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
Direct payment to low-income household
Some of the funding will be used to provide one-off cash payments to low-income households with and without children, to support those most in need with the cost of food, energy (heating, cooking, lighting), water bills and other essentials. Payments will be made automatically to eligible households by the end of November 2025 without the need to apply.

Extra help during the school holidays.
The Time2Move Holiday Programme will offer fun physical activities, games and wider activities plus a meal for all children. Places are available free of charge to children receiving benefits-related Free School Meals.
Support available through local organisations
The successful delivery of previous HSF rounds 1 – 6, has shown that a mixed method approach which allocates funding to existing Council services and external organisations ensures families, children, and adults at risk of, or experiencing financial hardship can access the funding and achieve the objectives of the HSF.
