Modern Day Slavery Awareness & Survivor Support - South West Forum

Join us and The Sparrows Project for an empowering regional partnership forum focused on identifying and supporting victims of modern-day slavery and labour abuse across the South West.

Modern-day slavery is not a distant issue - it is happening here in the South West. Individuals are being exploited in our communities, and survivors urgently need protection and hope as they rebuild their lives.

The Sparrows Project, which supports survivors of modern slavery in Somerset, is now exploring expansion into Devon and Cornwall. To inform this vital step and to identify areas where they can support and assist existing work, we are bringing together frontline professionals, community leaders, statutory agencies, and those with lived experience to collaborate on a regional strategy to combat exploitation and support survivors.

Why Attend?

  • Hear from expert speakers tackling modern slavery on the frontlines.
  • Learn practical steps to identify risks and support survivors.
  • Connect with partners across agencies, charities, and communities.
  • Help shape a regional strategy that restores hope and changes lives.

About The Sparrows Project

The Sparrows Project aims to raise awareness of the existence of modern day slavery in the area, to seek to counter it and to provide individually tailored support to survivors by assisting them to recover from their past experiences and to move on establishing themselves in society.
