Newquay Foodbank Open Day

This week Transformation Cornwall was thrilled to be part of Newquay Foodbank’s Open Day held at St Michael’s Parish Church. Open for everyone in the community, there was lots of cake to enjoy and a raffle, well supported by a wide range of local businesses. There were many other front line organisations at the Open Day and we were pleased to catch up with Cornwall Mind, Community Energy Plus, Newquay Orchard, Store House Newquay, and Healthwatch Cornwall.

Our table offered a wide variety of support to the community including the Worrying About Money? leaflet, our ever popular Transformation Cornwall Telephone Signposting booklet, raising awareness about the ongoing Guarantee Our Essentials campaign supporting the Trussell Trust and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and finally offering our support for October’s A21 Walk For Freedom in Truro.
