Speak Up for Housing Justice!
Have you tried to buy a home? Or does it feel completely out of reach? What makes it so hard? And what needs to change?
We are supporting The Centre for Progressive Change's latest campaign about housing justice, as the shortage of affordable housing is a pressing issue here in Cornwall.
The housing crisis in Cornwall has reached a critical point. The cost of buying or renting a home has surged, outpacing wage growth and leaving many families unable to afford a place to live. This has forced people into overcrowded conditions or even temporary shelters.
As of August 2024, a staggering 21,120 households are on the Cornwall Homechoice social and affordable housing register.
This new campaign, led by The Centre for Progressive Change, aims to make home ownership possible for people on lower incomes.
They are currently looking to hear from people with lived experiences. You can join the coversation by:

· Joining their casual group discussion online on 10th December at 12pm and 15th January at 5.30pm. Click here to sign up.
Your input is crucial in shaping the future of housing for everyone. Don't miss this chance to make a difference!
