Take Part in Refugee Week- 16 to 22 June 2025

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts & culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

Established in 1998 in the UK, Refugee Week takes place every year around World Refugee Day (20th June) and has since grown into a global movement.

This year the festival takes place from 16-22nd June 2025 and the theme is “Community as a Superpower”.

Refugee Week is a community-powered festival which means everyone is invited to take part.

Refugee Week brings together people from different backgrounds to connect beyond labels, and foster a deeper understanding of why people are displaced, and the challenges they face when seeking safety.

Whether you’re working with children & young people, planning to host your own event or wanting to support Refugee Week on social media, check out the resources packs below for inspiration and more information on how to take part in Refugee Week.
